Barrel Angle

Barrel Angle indicates the tilt angle of the rifle for further Cosine Factor calculation when shooting up or downhill.

  • A positive number means your rifle is pointing up.
  • A negative number means your rifle is pointing down.
  • An angle of 0 degrees means your gun is vertically level.

It’s available only through the Drills app.

In the settings, you can choose whether you want to see the indicator with or without a fraction.

You can also calibrate the barrel angle of the SG Pulse.

It allows you to calibrate the barrel angle separately from the horizontal level, meaning that you can tilt the device and set its vertical level, but the true horizontal level position will remain the same.

Note that the indication on the device will always show only the horizontal level, ignoring the barrel angle.

Go to “Calibration” — “Barrel”.

Position the device in the desired position and tap “Calibrate”.

The LEDs will flash purple and then light up green, indicating that the SG Pulse has memorized this position as the zero vertical level. Please don’t touch the rifle and make sure it’s perfectly stable during calibration. If it continues to flash purple after 5 seconds, it means that the rifle is not stable enough. The sensor is extremely sensitive and can be affected by wind or by vibrations traveling through the rifle.
