The SG Pulse comes factory calibrated for horizontal position. However, it can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or even at an angle. This will not affect the accuracy thanks to the custom calibration.
Use an allen key from the box to secure the desired mount in the desired orientation.
Make sure that it’s attached firmly and doesn’t have any play. Then, you may calibrate the device if needed.
If you wish to use the device in vertical orientation, or you don’t get the desired level due to unevenness of connecting surfaces, you can calibrate the device manually.
First, level the rifle using traditional methods.
Then press — quickly release — press and hold the SG Pulse button — the LEDs will flash purple and then light up green, indicating that the SG Pulse has memorized this position as the zero horizon level. Please don’t touch the rifle and make sure it’s perfectly stable during calibration. If it continues to flash purple after 5 seconds, it means that the rifle is not stable enough.
The sensor is extremely sensitive and can be affected by wind or by vibrations traveling through the rifle.
You can also calibrate the device through the Drills mobile app.
Now SG Pulse is calibrated for your specific rifle and attachment, eliminating all possible unevenness.
