You can start a shooting session from the Drills app in several ways. You can see them in the “Shooting” section in the bottom menu of the app. In this video, we will show you each of these ways. If you are new to this application, we recommend starting with “Free shooting” and “Quick stage” modes.
Free Shooting.
Free shooting is a simple remote control of the timer. If you just want to take videos of your training sessions, this is the easiest way to do it. It saves video, time, number of shots, shot times, splits, gun type, date and time. Just set up the parameters and start training. To learn more about filming videos, see “Video Recording in Drills”.
You can set parameters in the app and start the session on a timer. If you need to configure a lot and change programming settings often, it’s easier to do it in the application. The changes you make in the phone will be transferred to the timer and vice versa. The most recent changes made on any of the devices will remain relevant. Please note that the changes you make are saved to the selected preset.
Quick stage.
Quick stage allows you to also keep track of your hits on targets and hit factor in addition to the data from “Free shooting”
To create a quick stage, select targets, which you will use in this practice.
If necessary you can select the preset, shot limit and delay before start. The timer will automatically stop when it reaches the shot limit.
To start the session, click “Start” or click “Video” if you want to record your shooting.
After the practice is finished, you can mark the hits on the targets in the app. To mark the hit, tap the gray button of the corresponding target and zone. To reset tap and hold until it becomes gray again. Thus instead of just shot times, you will keep track of your accuracy, hit factor, and efficiency.
The application will save data from the timer along with the results of hits in the “Activity” section, as well as photos and videos of shooting (if there are any).
In any of these modes, you can control timer settings and start/stop sessions right from the app. All settings will be uploaded to the timer in real-time. Shot detection and beep will still be performed by the timer, not your smartphone.
