Shooting Sessions and Data Logging

Unlike the regular SG Pulse, the Pulse Pro is capable of recording and storing individual shooting sessions.

Each shooting session stores delta between the shots, horizontal and vertical angles, stability during trigger pull and muzzle trace.

For a session to be saved, you need to start the timer, and at least one shot must be registered.

Timer and time limit
An active countdown means that the session is active and Pulse Pro records the shots.
We have already covered how to set up the timer before. But if you wish to collect shooting data without any time constraints, you may set the time limit to infinity and disable the alerts.
To end such shooting session, press and hold the SELECT button.

Delay
It’s a delay between button press and countdown start, similar to SG Timers.

Shot limit
Shot limit is a number of shots the Pulse Pro will register before ending the session. For example if you set 5 shots, start the timer, and fire 5 rounds, it will stop the session automatically.

The session ends when either of the criterias is met:
– The timer has finished countdown
– The timer has been stopped manually
– Shot limit has been reached

This will be considered one shooting session and you will be able to review it in Activity when you connect to the Drills app. It may take a little while for the data to be imported.

Sensitivity
If you’ve done any of these things but you don’t see your shooting session in the activity, it may be due to the fact that the sensitivity of the Pulse Pro is off and it doesn’t register actual shots.

To better understand the sensitivity levels, connect to Drills app and go to Free Shooting. Sensitivity can be adjusted here, or in the shooting settings of the Pulse Pro. Start the session in the app or on Pulse Pro and make a shot. If you don’t see a shot registered in the app, go back and increase the sensitivity until Pulse Pro registers shots reliably.

It’s also a good idea to test the bolt manipulation to make sure the Pulse Pro doesn’t register the bolt movement as a shot. Do some testing on your rifle to find the perfect sensitivity level where it will capture the shots but not the bolt manipulation.
