Shooting with SG Pulse

Now we will go over the shooting process and data logging with SG Pulse and Drills training app.

SG Pulse is only available in “Free Shooting”, so if you’d like to utilize all of the features in the app, like Quick stage, or Match mode, you need to also connect a shot timer. You can learn more about these features in the videos about using Drills app with SG Timers.

Please note that unlike SG Timers, SG Pulse does not record your data itself. It sends the data to Drills app in real time only. So if you want to record your progress, make sure you’re connected to the app at all times.

Whenever you are ready to shoot, go to “Free shooting”. Here you can see your horizontal level, stability and barrel angle, as well as your muzzle path.

SG Pulse doesn’t have a start command, so it records data continuously.
When you’re ready, start shooting and shots will appear on the screen. When you’ve finished, tap “save” and your results will be saved in the “Activity” tab.

To clear the data, tap “Reset”.

SG Pulse and SG Timers

Currently, the shots are being recorded by SG Pulse through physical feedback of your rifle.
To get the actual shot times, you can connect SG Timer and SG Pulse to the Drills app simultaneously.

Go to the device list and connect SG Timer. Now sessions will be controlled by the timer, and the app will behave the same way as if you’re shooting with just the timer, except now on top of your shot times, all SG Pulse data will also be recorded. And in this case, the shot recognition is performed by the Timer and not by the SG Pulse.

Activity

Activity is your interactive training journal. All your results are stored here.

To navigate between days, swipe the calendar row or tap the “Calendar” button. Days with at least one practice will be circled in yellow.

Tap on the individual session to view full information and select an individual shot to view the muzzle path.

If you made a video of your session, it will be attached to the session history. The entire history is saved in the cloud. It will remain even if you delete the application and then come back and log in to your account again.

To delete your data entirely, go to settings, profile edit and delete your account.
